Third flight with 240 Indians on way to India under Operation Ganga

New Delhi, Feb 27 (UNI) A third flight with 240 Indian nationals has taken off from Budapest for New Delhi under Operation Ganga even as 250 Indian nationals, mostly students, were flown back to India early on Sunday. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar tweeted: “Third flight of #OperationGanga with 240 Indian nationals has taken off from Budapest for Delhi.” Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan were at Delhi airport to receive the second flight - Air India flight 1942 from Bucharest to New Delhi - that landed at around 3 am. The two ministers greeted each of the Indians with roses as they entered the airport. MoS Muraleedharan in tweets said: “Glad to join @JM_Scindia ji to receive 250 Indian nationals, mostly students arrived from Ukraine under #OperationGanga early morning today. This is the first evacuation flight to Delhi. “Will continue our efforts till we evacuate the last Indian from Ukraine. We care for you.” He also interacted with the students in Malayalam at the airport. “Interacted with the students evacuated from Ukraine at the Delhi Airport. “Govt will ensure the safe return of all Indians stranded in #Ukraine.” Scindia tweeted: “Joyous homecoming! “Relieved & delighted to see 250 Indians safely return from Ukraine on the @airindiain flight at the Delhi Airport. Received & interacted with them along with with my colleague Sh @VMBJP Ji. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal was at the airport to receive them. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that he is personally monitoring the evacuation of Indian nationals from war-hit Ukraine.UNI RN
